IRETH, in partnership with 4CSatImage, is the exclusive distributor of the New Remote Sensing Cosmo-SkyMed Service for MENA regions, most of Africa and South Asia and can provide satellite images and data processing services, ensuring precise, detailed and update information about observed sites, according to customers’ needs.

Cosmo-SkyMed (CSK) is a constellation of four SAR satellites, the most advanced in orbit.
The COSMO constellation is uniquely reliable among current SAR missions, assuring continuity in data provision.
Due to its high satellites revisit frequency, COSMO offers the best response time available over current SAR satellite missions.

Cosmo Response times between CUSTOMER request for acquisition and image delivery are therefore exceptional.

The combination of high revisit time and high acquisition capability provides coverage of large aggregate areas in very short time.

CosmoSkyMed can provide 3 types of images:

  • Spotlight 2: 100 sqkm area,  1m resolution (ground sampling distance)
  • Stripmap: 1600 sqkm area, 3m resolution: 4200km max length strip
  • ScanSARWideRegion, to detect 10.000 sqkm surface, 20m resolution and HugeRegion, to detect 40.000 sqkm, 100m resolution.

All imagery will be delivered through an SFTP transfer from the Main User Centre (or other secure transfer mode as reasonably requested by CUSTOMER).

Delivery times (defined as product availability on a SFTP server from images collection) will be:

  • Standard Delivery (6 hours)
  • Fast Delivery (2 hours)
  • Urgent Delivery (< 1 hour).

For premier CUSTOMERS IRETH can install a Direct Receiving Ground Station with a 5.4m dish full-motion antenna.
This equipment allows the Customer to directly receive the data from the satellite immediately after acquisition.

All COSMO imagery will be programmed using the Standard or Fast Programming Services. In order to have a Collection Order tasked during the next horizon (between 6:21 AM UTC of Day 1 and 6:21 AM UTC of Day 2), the relative order shall be submitted in two levels of programming services:

  • Standard Programming 6:00 PM UTC of Day -1
  • Fast Programming: 6:00 AM UTC of Day 0.

Collection Orders may not be changed after the above timeline. For areas requiring more than one orbit segment to cover the complete AOI, an ad-hoc programming schedule will be implemented
